Happy Birthday, Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust!

Happy birthday, Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust! Join us this Sunday, 20 June, as we celebrate with them 30 incredible years of supporting Addenbrooke’s!

We're offering a FREE vintage bus service on the X3 route from Huntingdon to Addenbrooke’s! Donations to ACT are welcome on board. We'll also be holding an ACT tea party later in the year to boost their fundraising.

The coach is owned by Alex Cavanagh, ACT’s Head of Charitable Expenditure. Alex said:

“I’m proud to be part of a charity that drives innovation and improves patient care every day. ACT’s birthday falls on a Sunday, and I’m delighted to mark the occasion by driving the coach in my own time. Please join us to celebrate and support the incredible impact ACT and its supporters have on patients and staff at Addenbrooke’s.”

The vintage coach will be used on journeys from Huntingdon bus station to Cambridge (Addenbrooke's) at 0824 and 1205, and from Addenbrooke's Outpatients to Huntingdon at 0950 and 1335.

Over 30 years, our supporters have helped raise £150M+ for projects that go beyond NHS funding—bringing innovation, comfort & hope to patients at Addenbrooke’s.

Thanks to you, we’ve achieved:
✅ 100% survival in a breast cancer trial (3 yrs post-surgery)
🌿 UK’s 1st nature-themed MRI wrap, easing anxiety & improving scans
🤖 £1.5M raised for the da Vinci robot, cutting waiting times & recovery

The vintage coach will be used subject to availability. Journeys on the vintage coach are free - you can make a donation to ACT if you like using the buckets onboard, or visit the website to do this online. Whippet's X3 journeys will all be running normally on 20 June, as well as the vintage coach.
